Description

The Chthonic Fuzz Effects Pedal from DOD creates fat, corpulent and sludgy tones designed to pair with single-coil, P90, gold-foil and DeArmond style pickups. This pedal also works great with PAF-style humbuckers even though fuzz was built with brighter guitars and clean amps in mind.

Starting with a single-knob ´70s fuzz circuit, DOD experimented with adding a subtle tone control (Lustre), and then a separate gain control (Fuzz). This produces a simple yet powerful fuzz with an earthy, dark sound. The transistor clipping uses a pair of 2N2222 transistors that allows guitar volume knob clean-up similar to other classic fuzzes.

The Chthonic’s Kraken/Cthulhu graphics represent a psychotic, dizygotic dark companion to the Carcosa Fuzz that takes its place in the pantheon of the underworld.
