La-Peru technology is based on special cajon strings that help shape the characteristics of the sound by way of tuning screws that are located at the base of the instrument. Seven layers of alder wood give it a medium-dry sound and there are a variety of unique finishes that add to the distinct visual aesthetics of this cajon.
